Preserved Steam Down Under C17 No. 935
The Steam Train runs from Warwick with various options. As it had been wet the steam train was running with the volunteer rural bush fire crew following us. As the site states if depends, you may get steam or diesel. Either way it is a great trip. I was part of a group who went on the train, optional wine tour trip.

On Sunday, the steam train made two tours to Toobeah, providing an exciting experience for families and those reminiscing. The train then returned to Warwick on the Monday of the Long weekend. The historic train, called the C17 locomotive, played a vital role in rebuilding and rehabilitating the Queensland Railways after the Second World War.

We took the opportunity to take the steam train ride while visiting Warwick. A big shout to the volunteers, especially during the Easter holiday period. There is a mini-museum and shop for gifts. The volunteers are highly knowledgeable, and they give you a brief history of the steam train. There is a small shop on the train for food and drinks.
